Thank you so much for the supplies. Our academic team has been checking out and reading the books furiously in preparation for our competitions this winter. Having copies of the reading list is making a huge difference for our students in preparing for competitions. They were so excited when they saw all the books and immediately started requesting which books they wanted to borrow first. Over the last few weeks, the students have been discussing the books with each other and discussing which points and facts they think will be asked in competitions. Without copies of the books to read on the book list, our teams would not be as prepared for the meets and wouldn't be as competitive as teams that had access to the study materials. Your donation is helping us to prepare and be competitive in the upcoming competitions. Our next step is to continue to read and evaluate the books on the reading list, have students quiz each other on the books from the reading list and share the main points and plot points that they anticipate will be asked in our meets.
We were also able to get hands-on manipulatives for in-person tutoring and lessons as well as a new filter for our air purifier to help keep us all healthier as students come in and out of the room. Having the necessary tools and classroom setting to better help our students learn has been making a huge impact on understanding and remembering how to solve mathematical problems. Thanks again for your support!”

Thank you so much for donating to this project. Because of your support, I was able to purchase math supplies for every virtual student to use at home like whiteboards, whiteboard markers, highlighters and notebooks. Your support was extremely helpful to the 200 students who now have the supplies they need to participate in our virtual Math lessons and to better understand our curriculum and objectives. The students were thrilled to get bags filled with materials to use at home. Learning virtually can be a challenge, but now that they all have the necessary supplies, it is much easier to present lessons and have students working alongside me while learning from home. Thanks again! I am so grateful for your support for my students!”

Thank you so much for your help in getting quality and engaging lessons to my virtual students. Many of my students are kids who struggle in coming to class every day. By providing fun and engaging lessons, my students have been commenting that they really enjoyed coming to class more and that they wanted more activities like the pixel mystery picture reveal or matching activities on surface area. I even found some activities called Laughter Math that revealed corny jokes when the students typed in correct answers. This sparked a conversation about other corny jokes that had the entire class laughing.
Being able to bring joy and fun to my students as well as real-world examples of math like comparing surface area to needing wrapping paper for gifts has helped my students get excited about coming to class (to see what wacky activity we will do next) and talking about Math as well as talking to each other. Learning virtually is challenging, but my students have been eagerly coming to class to learn and to talk to each other. We have really enjoyed the new activities as well as the fun they have sparked in our learning. Thanks again for your support! My students and I are so grateful!!!!”

Thank you so much for helping me get fun, engaging activities to my virtual students that are also rigorous. Learning online is a struggle, and having the ability to provide fun activities makes a huge difference. One activity I purchased had corny pirate jokes appear every time the student got a correct answer. I had a lot of kids come to class the next day telling the class other funny pirate themed jokes they knew which sparked a lot of laughter and conversation. My students are all learning online and being able to make class fun really helps my students participate as well as attend class more often.
Thanks again for your help! My students and I really appreciate your support!”

Thank you so much for your help! Learning math online has been a challenge, and I have really struggled with getting quality, fun, hands-on materials to my students to motivate them. Your generosity helped tremendously! I found some mystery reveal assignments that show students immediately if they calculated the correct answer, and that has been the favorite so far. I also was able to give them graphing activities that both showed examples and had students apply what they knew to graph different lines and show slope themselves. By having them apply the concepts to construct lines themselves, students told me that they understood the material better and had fun making graphing. My students and I really appreciate your support! Thanks again!”
Thank you SO much for the books for our Academic Team! Part of the competition includes reading a set of books, and we were having such a hard time getting enough copies of the books for the students to be able to read them in time. Your support impacted our team a lot! Last week, the 6th and 7th grade team placed 4th in Regionals! By having copies of the books, students were able to read a bunch of them and have the knowledge base needed to compete and place so high in our Regional competition. Without your help and support, we would have been at a huge disadvantage in the competition and would not have placed. Thanks again for your help! My students and I really appreciate it!!!!!”

Thank you so much for helping me and my students stay organized. We really appreciate your support! The rolling cart has been a wonderful tool in keeping our Academic Team books all in one place and organized. We can move it to different stations in the room when we are doing different activities. The cart has made a huge impact on finding books to read as well as well as helping to keep our books new and pristine. Before having the shelf, books kept getting knocked on the floor. Now, the books are all in one place and not getting damaged from getting knocked off tables. Your donation has really helped the Academic Team stay organized and be able to find the resources they need faster and easier. Thanks again for your support!”
I have about 125 students in sixth grade. About one third of my class comes from a military family, and 75% of my class qualifies for free and reduced lunch. I have a really inquisitive group of students who love to read. They genuinely want to learn and do well. We are an active group of kids, and I strive to keep them loving and learning at the same time.
