Most of our students are classified as multiply disabled. Despite our students' limitations we feel that they have a lot more to say than they are able to. We believe in them and we want them to have every opportunity available. These devices would be used to teach students to request and answer questions during classroom lessons. For example, a student who does not have any words can push a button on one of these devices to greet peers "hello" during morning meeting or to request "eat" when they are hungry. The staff at the school are very passionate about our students. Students receive lesson in science, literacy, math, instructional meal time and adaptive physical education. Without a voice it is sometimes difficult for them to participate in some of these activities.
