With our new science standards, students are developing their writing skills to demonstrate mastery. In order to be fully productive in their writing, students need the ease and flexibility of using external keyboards with their iPads. Having these keyboards, one per student, will not only assist in our new science standards, but also support my students in one of our school’s signature practices of writing CERs in science. Having keyboards in my classroom will affect each and every one of my 175 students by giving them the opportunity to fully express themselves in their writing in science by not being held back by the lack of materials.
