Bright pictures and well written words create fun and excitement which easily strengthens their cognitive connections. Big books and read aloud sessions expose Pre-K students to big ideas. They begin to see the world through others' eyes. Science is a big concept that can be hard to translate to young minds. Books allow teachers to tie in subjects that create excitement for current and future learning.
