A Smarter Way to Charge
Funded Feb 14, 2020I wanted to thank you all once again for always supporting my class and my students. The chargers really came in handy with how much time we spend using our chromes. Not only do they use them in my class they use them in almost all of their classes and for a social time during lunch.
It took the stress away from them knowing they could come in my room and charger their chrome whether it was because they forgot to do it the night before or that after a long day of learning their chrome was about to "die".
We truly cannot do this without those of you who donate to our learning environment.”

Funded Nov 7, 2019Thank you so much for donating to my classroom. My students loved reading Prisoner B-3087. This novel really helped bring the unit Voices of the Holocaust alive to my class. Literature is one of best ways to show students a part of history that they aren't aware.
Thanks to your donation I can use this novel for many years to come. The story itself is timeless and the real life characters in the novel really touched the heart of my classes.
Without donors like you, we could not have this time of enrichment in my English classes. Along with Prisoner, with your help, I was able to obtain three other books by this same author and now my students are reading those too!”

Homework Nook!
Funded Oct 16, 2018First and foremost, I want to thank you for your generous donation to my project "Homework Nook." Without people like you, my students' dreams would not have been brought to life. As their teacher, I want to thank you again for your generous donation to my classroom. It is wonderful to see people so eager to donate to education to help support the future.
By funding this project "Homework Nook," my students can use the Chromes instead of having to go check a new one out when they forget theirs; this way they don't miss what is going on in class and can be more successful. This, in turn, will improve their self-esteem.
Once again, thank you for your generous donations. Out of all the classrooms in the nation, you chose ours, which is awesome! Thank you for supporting us and public education in general.”

Funded Feb 6, 2018First and foremost, I want to thank you for your generous donation to my project "Curl Up With a Good Book". Without people like you, my students would not have access to these types of books without purchasing themselves or heading out to the library. As their teacher, I want to thank you again for your generous donation to my classroom. It is wonderful to see people so eager to donate to education to help support the future.
By funding this project "Curl Up With a Good Book," my students will be able to have a classroom library where I can help them find modern books to fit their needs (interest level and reading level). It is so important to foster a love of reading at a young age and too often students just haven't found the right book, which is why they don't love to read.
Once again, thank you for your generous donations. Out of all the classrooms, you chose ours, which is awesome! Thank you for supporting us and public education in general.”

A Warm Smile at Lunch!
Funded Jan 26, 2018First and foremost, I want to thank you for your generous donation to my project "A Warm Smile at Lunch" Without people like you, my students would not have access to a microwave to heat up their food before school and lunchtime. I want to thank you again for your generous donation to my classroom.
By funding this project it allows my students to have a classroom microwave that they can use at their leisure before school and at lunchtime. This allows them to bring food from home that they enjoy eating and warm it up using the microwave.
Once again, thank you for your generous donations. Out of all the classrooms, you chose ours, which is awesome! Thank you for supporting us and public education in general.”

Funded Jan 11, 2018First and foremost, I want to thank you for your generous donation to my project "Click It, Share It With a Mouse." As their teacher, I want to thank you again for your generous donation to my classroom. It is wonderful to see people so eager to donate to education to help support the future--you not only put a smile on my face, but my students and their parents' faces this year and for years to come.”

Library of Our Own
Funded Jan 15, 2018Thank you for your support of our classroom library. Reading is such an important skill in all areas of our lives. All day long kids are required to read and many times it is not what they want/desire to read. As an English teacher I want to inspire and bring the love of reading to my students. One of the best ways I have found to do this, is to bring the books they want to read into my classroom.
This classroom library is just the start to building a place for my students to learn the love of reading and it is all because of my donors who support our cause.”

Funded Nov 3, 2017Thank you so much for your generous donations of three chromes to our classroom. We are now truly a one-to-one device in my classroom. With essays being written and test to be taken, we have the tools to be successful! We really could not have achieved our goal without your kindness and help. My students love working on chromes and say it helps them with their day-to-day work. As a teacher I know I am putting the right tools into my students' hands to help them be successful and love learning in my room!”

The Hitchhiker's Guide to Comedy
Funded Aug 25, 2017I would like to thank each and everyone of you for making our project a reality. Books are essential in an English class. One of our units focus is on comedy and the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy will fit right in. They will learn to incorporate humorous text into their lessons with the hopes of teaching them to appreciate how humor can be used to to convey truth.
Their final goal will be to use this book and other novels/short stories to complete a RAFT project and write an expository essay.
I look forward to using this book and we could not have done this without the help and support of our donors.”

iPad to Show What You Know
Funded Aug 24, 2017I cannot begin to explain the impact having the iPad has had in my classroom. We have used it for a variety of actives in the short time we have had it. We have used it for our unit of study on The Hero's Journey in my 8th grade English class. Students have used it to show videos to go along with our units and to share with other students. On a personal note it has allowed me to move around the room taking notes on students' work and even being able to grade their work right then and there. This has been an amazing tool so far.”
