  • Nature Photography Extravaganza!

    Funded May 8, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting our art education program. Each year our 5th grade classes goes on two separate outdoor environmental science photography workshop field trips. These field trips are joyful experiences for our students.

We are so looking forward to showcasing student work at this year's end of year cluster exhibition. We have new mat frames for artwork as well. The students and families will be so excited to see their children's photography printed on quality paper with a quality printer. We could not do what we do without the support of our donors! Thank you so much for your generous contributions!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Oliver

  • Step it Up with Advanced Drawing Tools!

    Funded Jul 22, 2024

My students have been working on advanced 3D sculpture projects for several months now. Students created preliminary sketches and designs. Students used various measuring tools and shape stencils to create floorplans with scaling and measurements.

We have been enjoying our new materials and the students love working with them. The drawing tools and blending stumps have advanced my students drawing skills and ability to bring their preliminary designs and artwork to life. They are a creative group of students and we can't wait to keep using the materials. Many of our projects are still in process and will continue to be worked on throughout the year. Thank you so much for supporting visual arts programs in public schools!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Oliver

  • Cardboard Sculpture Extravaganza!

    Funded Dec 4, 2024

We can’t wait to use these tools to help us create sculptures out of recycled materials! Our students love hands-on projects and using their imagination. Our art program is thriving and we couldn’t do it without the support of our donors. We appreciate donors promoting visual arts education in public schools. Thank you so much!”

  • Glaze for Days! A Sculpture's Journey to a Colorful Future!

    Funded Apr 2, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting my student's art education program. We have been creating so many clay projects across multiple grade levels. The students love working with their hands and creating three-dimensional projects.

One of the most exciting parts of glazing a clay project is to see how it looks after being fired in the kiln. It is a magical experience for both students and teacher. The kids love to look at our Mayco chart and view the colors options and silly names associated with them. Glazes are an expensive purchase for a public school art budget, and we are forever grateful for the support of donors like you! We love to make our art projects vibrant and colorful!”

  • Model Magic Pastry Sculptures!

    Funded Dec 19, 2023

My students love working with moldable materials and creating three-dimensional projects. While sculpture projects are exciting, the prices for materials can be quite daunting. We could not elevate our art education program without the support of donors like you.

My student's immediate reaction to the materials was excitement when using the model-magic. They loved the cupcake project, and the results were quite diverse. I enjoyed seeing the varying levels of imagination, interpretation, and cupcake themes. We hope to keep creating three-dimensional projects in the future! Thank you so much for your support!”

  • Beautiful Paper for Beautiful Photos!

    Funded Nov 8, 2022

Thank you so much for supporting my students art education program! We are so appreciative of the high quality photo paper donated to us. We were able to print photos from our field trip at the park.

We were also able to print some photos for our annual district art showcase. The students were excited to see their artwork enlarged on beautiful paper as well as. As the educators, I was also pleased by the quality of their photos and details of their photography when enlarged on quality paper. They turned out beautiful! We plan to keep printing more photos in the future!

We are grateful to all the donors who support out program! Thank you!”

  • Spectacular Sculptures for Spectacular Students!

    Funded Dec 25, 2022

This year has been jammed packed full of 3D sculptures! My students have really enjoyed taking their artistic skills outside of 2D art. Many of my students began making various armatures before layering with the paper-mache materials and plaster strips.

The students were curious and intrigued by the materials. Some students created cake sculptures, while others created their own car designs. Students were inspired and came up with interesting designs. We were able to showcase their artwork in both the state and district contests. Reflecting on the entire project was rewarding!

We plan to keep on creating those 3D projects! Thanks for all the donors who support out program!”

    With gratitude,

  • A Printmaking Press for a Printmaking Extravaganza!

    Funded Nov 8, 2022

Thank you for supporting my students and their art education program. Without donors like you, we would have minimal supplies to work with. Diverse materials allow my students to create dynamic art projects.

Last year we learned the basics of creating monoprints using styrofoam and makers. This semester, we built upon our prior knowledge and applied the same skill to more advanced materials.

My students produced an abstract design, carved into a linocut block, and inked up their printing plates. The printing press has been a great addition to our classroom. Student are able to put their printing plates on the press and run it through for a vibrant monoprint. This project teaches students responsibility, problem-solving, and advanced skills with a studio mindset. Thank you for giving them this experience!”

  • Baskets, Baskets, Let's Weave Baskets!

    Funded Jan 31, 2022

Thank you for supporting my students and out art education program. Without donors like you, we would be extremely limited with materials due to minimal art budgets. This project has been fun to work on!

Last year my students learned the foundational skills of weaving with yarn and cardboard looms. This year we were able to build on their prior knowledge by applying that same skill, but elevated, to a three-dimensional basket.

My students were amazed that they would be creating an actual basket. On top of a new experience, it was important for them to experience something completely hands-on. This project promoted their fine-motor and problem-solving skills. We enjoyed creating these baskets! Thank you!”

  • Canvas Boards for Creative Clay Projects!

    Funded May 3, 2022

I cannot emphasize enough how amazing these canvas boards for clay are! My third graders started their monster pinch-pot designs this week. They each have their own board to work on, which makes this project successful and clean-up super quick. This is an introductory hand-building lesson and they are loving every minute of it!

We began by talking about sculptures and three-dimensional art. We then examined and played with the clay while describing the sensory experience. Once we created our basic pinch-pot monster mouth, the kids were able to start embellishing by using the score-and-slip method.

We are truly overjoyed to have this experience and look forward to many more ceramic projects! The price of these board by themselves would cost nearly all of our yearly art budget. We are so grateful for our donors who support our art program. Thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,
