As a tenth grade English teacher in a large urban school, my students often arrive to my classroom having achieved little to no success when it comes to the writing process. Students frequently suffer from fear of failure when assigned longer writing assignments and believe that longer papers are out of their reach. By teaching each student the writing process and how to stay organized at each step, my students will be able to build their self-esteem as writers.
