History - but Make It in English
Funded Jun 7, 2021Thank you so much for this printer! My kids have been so busy using it that we forgot to tell you thank you. My students have been using the printer to edit their papers and to display their projects. Currently my students are working on research projects that they will then present to their classmates. These projects will be hung up into the room.
Typically we cannot print things in color, however, this printer has allowed us to access materials IN COLOR! The kids are so excited to get their work done so that it can be hung up.
Coming off of a virtual year, it has been hard to get the kids to buy in 100% but this printer has really changed that.”

Historical Research & Publish It W/ MS.W!
Funded Oct 30, 2019The use of this computer has expanded the ability of my students to work with different interfaces and has also increased their ability to type. My students are in the 7th grade and have a writing test next year. This writing test is on a computer where the students have to type their answers, being able to use this computer has helped some of my students who truly struggle with typing to get quicker. The keyboarding class is always full and it is difficult for everyone who needs it to participate.
This computer has also allowed students to practice their research skills. They have started to build a classroom website on Google which has them implement not only their keyboarding skills and writing skills. As far as excitement, my students are LOVING that the computer is touchscreen and that it can be a tablet when it needs to be. The students have also created their own typing cycle of students who are contributing to the website and when. They function smoothly in this aspect and are completely in love with this computer!”

Funded Oct 19, 2016Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping my students to show off their work. With the addition of a printer in the classroom, projects have started to be turned in. Students have been able to print out pictures for their research projects and they have been able to print out the essays that they have typed. My kids are so excited that their work isn't just on the computer any more but in their hands.
Technology is scarce in my school district. This technology, although it's "only" a printer has truly changed how my classroom flows. I challenged my students to find political cartoons from World War I. When I challenged my students to do this a couple years ago, they could only show me on their phone or email it to me, although not a lot of students completed the activity. This year, my students were able to print out their pictures and we were able to break down all of the political cartoons that they found. It really helped my students feel success and want to participate. So again, thank you so much for helping my students find a way to enjoy history class! We love you for it!”

Funded Mar 3, 2016Dear Donors:
I can't begin to describe home important technology is in the classroom. Working in a school district where technology is scarce and often outdated it has truly changed how my room works for the best. For my students who struggle with comprehension, they have been able to use the iPads to research information on a level that allows them to fully access difficult content. For my Spanish speaking student, he has been able to interact with his peers and participate in the curriculum that normally wouldn't be accessible to him. My other students have fully enjoyed being able to see the White House, tour the Confederacy battle fields and Gettysburg.
The students have kept the iPads in pristine condition in the short amount of time that they have had them. They care for them as if they are their own and have ensured that they are plugged back in to the charger between classes. This is the most exciting part, having something in their classroom that others don't have and being able to use them for their betterment. The students have truly adapted well to the roles in the classroom of keeping the iPads charged and making sure that they are always available.
I truly am thankful that this idea was able to come to fruition and that my students have been able to see and learn new things in the comfort of the classroom. I know that my future classes will be thoroughly enjoy the field trips that I have planned in the upcoming school year!”

Projector Project
Funded Dec 30, 2014With the resource that you were able to offer me, I have been able to engage all of the students that I teach. I am now able to add in pictures and videos that will help to explain the information. The students, upon first seeing the lesson with the projector, were so excited! They would not stop talking about it! The students are now able to participate in using the SmartBoard and the iPad with the lesson. I now have an interactive classroom!
The projector that was supplied is AWESOME. I am able to freeze the screen and click over to take attendance. I am also able to look up questions that the students ask me while they are able to continue with their notes. My students are able to present their information without augmenting the set up so that their classmates could see it. The 100 students that I work with on a daily basis are able to manipulate the information and become more involved in the lesson.
This projector has changed my teaching style. I am now able to show videos of famous speeches and videos of historical events. The students are becoming more involved with the information which has boosted assessment scores. I have seen a drastic change in my classroom for the best and I can only see positive movement from here! Thank you again CCP for providing me with a projector that allows for student growth!”

Ms. W.
