As a Math teacher, I often call on students to demonstrate, on the classroom whiteboard, what they know and understand about the content of the current and previous lessons. They almost always must get out of their seats to perform these tasks. What I would like for the class to be able to do is, "show their work from their seats, giving me the opportunity to assess "where" the class is as a whole. Having individual white boards will most certainly allow me to do that. It will also allow students to, during collaboration time, demonstrate to each other.
