I teach a 12:1:1 elementary school class of students with varied special needs. They all benefit greatly from modifications in learning materials that include enlarging and color-coding printed materials. Right now, we have a b/w printer that prints poorly in our classroom. It is on its last legs! The students really need to see material printed clearly and with color coding, so they can learn better and in a multi-sensory manner. A color printer with enough ink to last for a school year would mean so much to my motivated students, who have so many learning challenges to deal with.
