My classroom is filled with twenty, excited and active second grade learners. In our classroom we are not only learning to read, write, add, and subtract, we are learning to appreciate each others differences as learners and people. We understand that no one in our class learns the same and it is our job as a classroom community to help each other by encouraging each other to work hard and do our best. We track our academic goals and we talk about how we can encourage each other to reach each goal that is set. We are a Title 1 school and 56% of our families receive Free and Reduced Lunch. Many of my students come from low income homes and have individualized needs.
