Let's Get Organized!
Funded Oct 11, 2023Thank you so much for your donation to our classroom. This year we started with a blank slate in our room- which meant that we had to create some organizational systems to help us through our day. Your donation allowed us to create our calendar center, which gives focus to our month. We also received bins to help organize our library and now students are able to quickly see the different types of books they can choose to read.
Thank you again for helping to create a neat, organized system in our classroom!”

Funded Aug 9, 2020Thank you so much for your donation to our classroom. Remote teaching has had its challenges this year, one of them being the materials we are able to present to our students in a digital way. Your donation to our project gave us the capability to enhance our curriculum with digital resources. We have been able to provide students with digital math practice, focused materials on topics they are interested in learning about and have allowed us to find new and interesting materials we would not normally have access to. Thank you for making digital learning better.”

Creating a Comfortable Book Nook
Funded Dec 10, 2009Thank you so much for your extremely generous donation to our classroom. Increase in reading stamina has been a big focus of our school this year and these comfortable seats have gone a long way to encourage students to read for an increased amount of time. My students were so excited as the beanbag chairs and cushions entered our daily routine. They cannot wait for independent reading time so they can grab a comfortable space on the floor. Many students are so comfortable and engrossed in their books that they are reading for almost an hour. Thank you for making reading time a comfortable and enjoyable time for the students!”

We're So Organized
Funded Aug 7, 2009Thank you so much for your generous donation toward our organization initiative. Your donations have allowed my class to begin the school year in an organized way that has led to the immediate implementation of our "Organize for Effort" schoolwide focus.
The desk caddies have allowed my students to store pencils. post-its, markers, color pencils and highlighters in one handy place that is easy to reach. I have seen an increase in student participation as they have their materials ready to go.
The mail center has become a central part of our lives with students learning how to become responsible for their own notices as they pick up their mail each day.
Again, words cannot truly express our gratitude for your donation!”

Challenging Gifted Readers
Funded Dec 25, 2008Thank you so much for funding our request for challenging books. The biggest issue I face as a gifted and talented teacher is keeping the interest of my students. Although they can read higher level books they do not have that urge due to the lack of materials available for them. In asking for these titles I hope to nurture a love of reading that will follow them through adulthood. I can imagine the conversations that will come out of reading Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing and The Courage of Sarah Noble and know that these books will have a happy home in the class library for a very long time. Thank you for taking an interest in gifted readers and giving them the gift of reading”

Making Math Fun Through Origami
Funded Feb 12, 2008Thank you so much for funding my proposal for a Mathematical Origami unit. I can't imagine how my students' imaginations and creativity are going to be pushed to the limit through origami, but I cannot wait to find out! My class and I cannot wait to delve into the world of geometrical origami as soon as our materials arrive!
