• Learning Spanish Language and Culture in a an Engaging Way

  Funded Mar 26, 2018

  This project has allowed me to introduce my students to the diverse and extensive information that are related to Hispanic culture and to develop my students' proficiency in the target language through interactive, meaningful, and cognitively engaging learning experiences that technology can bring to the classroom.

  The students that are being benefited by the access to new technology are Title 1 students in one of the counties known for a high percentage of lower SES families. My students are STEMM Magnet and they are very bright and inquisitive. The use of technology has helped my students to participate and be more involved in the global education community. My students are determined learners who yearn for variety and excitement in their lessons the incorporation of technology in the classroom has allowed them to have access to more learning opportunities and resources.

  I have students in the first and second year of Spanish who are just beginning to carry out basic conversations in their new language. A high number of these students come from low poverty homes, and their exposure to other cultures has been expanded with your generous donation. My students who are curious about the world outside of their environment and desire more knowledge from the outside world now have the great opportunity to benefit from new technology. Your donations has helped me widen my students' knowledge about the world; as a result, this project has helped me produce more empathetic students who have a widen point of view of the world they live in, which are attributes we must work to instill in our students. The use of technology has definitely helped me shape my students' perception about the world which is a critical component that is needed in a productive society. I have the genuine intention to empower my students by providing a well-rounded education. The helped provide d by our generous donors this has been possible. We are grateful to the donors who have contributed for this to happen.

  Through your generation donation I am now able to engage my students in the language learning process by providing authentic examples of the target culture; the use of technology has enabled my students to expand their language-learning opportunities. It will also help my students to use the target language in culturally appropriate ways to accomplish authentic tasks; therefore, facilitating and mediating language learning for all my students.

  I am able now to provide a dynamic environment to my students where they can interact with and learn about different cultures and customs of the Spanish-speaking world. I am committed to providing a solid well-rounded education. • An Effective All-in-One Printer And Speaker For My Classroom

  Thank you very much for your generosity in supporting my students at Venice High School, on behalf of all my students I want to thank you for your support. I want to thank you for providing my students the opportunity to succeed in their academic goals.

  Your generous contribution to VHS will benefit more than 220 students. Our mission at VHS is to integrate all students into the regular classroom, and with your help I have been able to continue providing my students with a quality education for all our students.

  A high number of my students come from low poverty homes, and their exposure to other cultures is often limited. However, my students are curious about the world outside of their environment and desire more knowledge. Thanks to your generosity all of my students have benefited from new technology. Your donations have helped me widen my students' knowledge about the world.

  I have been able to provide my students with authentic examples of the target culture; the use of technology has enabled my students to expand their language-learning opportunities. It has also helped my students to use the target language in culturally appropriate ways to accomplish authentic tasks; therefore, facilitating and mediating language learning for all my students. Language is one of the most complexes of all human activities and interaction; therefore, it has been essential to introduce my students to the culture of the target language through the implementation of technology, so that it effectively supports my students' language learning experience. My students have been able to observe, listen and become knowledgeable about global events. My students have been appraising their understanding of this information through engaging applications.

  The speaker and printer have enabled my students to practice their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. This project have allowed me to introduce my students to the diverse and extensive information that are related to Hispanic culture to develop my students' proficiency in the target language through interactive, meaningful, and cognitively engaging learning experiences.
