A "Hands On Approach" to Math.
Funded Nov 27, 2015Thank you so much for donating to my math classroom. Teaching place value is one of my favorite areas of study and having base ten blocks makes it more exciting! I use these blocks to model concepts and the students get to use them to reinforce what has been taught.
A hands-on approach to math is so important to those students who are visual learners. It helps them to see math in a different way. And with your donations I'm able to show all my students how to add-subtract- and build number sense. They can "see" how much 8 or 15 or 99 "looks" like. It makes the math more Real! It makes math Fun!
My students and I greatly appreciate your generosity. You made my math class a happier place!”

Ms. Gilchrist
Real- World Math
Funded Jul 24, 2015Thank you for your support in my math classroom! You're generosity is greatly appreciated !
The students were So excited when they first saw the games. They couldn't wait to play. We began playing the games ASAP to reinforce math lessons that have been previously taught. The place value game was a BIG hit for my 2nd grade students!! They were so happy to play the game and knowing there was a prize give to each winner made the game more fun. The 1st grade students loved addition bingo. They were thrilled to play the game and happy that @ this point of the school year they were able to add numbers without any help.
Every month I introduce a new game to the class, so by the end of the 2015-2016 school year all the students will have the opportunity to play all Bingo games. Thanks! Thanks! Thanks! for bringing math games into the classroom.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Gilchrist
