  • If You Build It, They Will Come!

    Funded May 6, 2020

Thank you so much for your generous donation. My students love creating and building . This project table was a great investment in future engineers. They were very excited with the new building table.

This table will be in our new STEM lab, which is currently evolving into a very unique space. Through projects and outside funding, we were able to outfit the space with some outstanding options for our students.

When our lab is fully operational, even more students will benefit from the options that we currently have in place.

Thank you, again, for your continuous support! You are certainly appreciated!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Pierick

  • STEM Lab! Here We Come!

    Funded May 28, 2020

My kids were so excited when they saw a table and chairs at their own level. Even our youngest students can participate in STEM activities. The table, which is low to the ground offers flexible options for students. In the time of social distancing, it is even more important that we have extra spaces for students to work.

My students like to use this space for individual projects and for reading space. They like that it is low to the ground with a comfortable cushion chair to use instead of the hard floor.

This flexible seating space is a great option for our STEM lab. Our STEM lab is currently under construction. As we add new options for students, even more kids will get to utilize it.

Thank you , again, for your generosity! Your continued support is very appreciated!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Pierick

  • Wiggles Begone!

    Funded Jun 13, 2019

The ball chairs are a huge hit! They are small enough for my First Grade students to easily carry. They are accessible to all of my students. The kids love to work by themselves or in small groups. They are easier to move around than their regular chairs.

When my students walked into our room to find some new ball chairs, they were super excited. It was hard to wait our turns to try them out! The students have used them several different ways.

Team work is a very hard concept for young students. We are working in small groups, taking turns and sharing! Those skills are important for all students.

Thank you , again, for your generous support of my classroom! First Grade is certainly the best place to be!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Pierick

I have 14 students in my class ( 7 boys, 7 girls). They are a rambunctious group of first graders. They love to explore new things. Some of our students are English Language Learners. While our school has current technology, many of our students do to have access to one-on-one technology unless they are in school. We currently use an inquiry method to learning. The ability to use an iPad in a small group to research information or to practice basic skills, as well as, language acquisition is an invaluable tool to enhance learning! The iPad is also portable, which encourages student interaction in a nonrestrictive space.
