  • Everyone Needs Different Things

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Thank you so much for supporting this project. My students LOVE desk pets! They are motivated and consider how each pet is different, much like humans. We love to discuss what animals needs are, what their habitat should be like, and what other animals it can be around. Learning about how different animal species are is helping students understand that everyone getting the same thing is not always fair. Fair is when everyone gets what they need. Students have learned to think what their pet needs and how they will provide the essentials to the pets. We also compare ourselves as learners, and see how we are all different and have different needs.

    Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Trudeau

Students love to collaborate and solve challenging problems. We are also sharing our tiles and books with the 4th grade students, who are also loving having this engaging opportunity. • Motion & Math

    Funded Nov 5, 2022

My students are so excited to be able to use what they know about themselves to help them direct their motion into a motion friendly way that does not distract other students. I am so excited that they are learning about force and motion and have a practical way to apply that new knowledge to their own lives and futures. Your support of this project has really encouraged and inspired many students to use their own motion for positive and engaging behaviors that support their learning. This is an amazing opportunity for students to use what they learn in science for their own lives.”

My school has a diverse population, coming to school speaking several different languages at home. Over 1/3 of my students receive free or reduced lunch. These students are motivated and excited to learn. First grade is a year of tremendous growth and these young scholars are enthusiastic. My classroom is one in which I help guide students to meet their individual learning goals. Students become independent problem solvers and work together as a team. All students value each other and strive to make our learning environment engaging and positive.
