  • Social Emotional Support

    Funded Sep 18, 2024

My students were so excited to receive the sensory strips! They are a great way to help students quietly have something to touch when nervous or bored. It has helped to increase their focus. Additionally, the students loved the magnetic books marks. They have been using them during reading and are taking great care of them. Moreover, the phonics center has helped the students to practice their words in a fun and engaging way. Finally, we appreciate the colorful envelopes that we can use to write letters during our unit about families and communities. The students plan to write letters to the principal and their family.

We are so grateful for these supplies.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Grubert

  • Let's Bring Art Alive!

    Funded Apr 7, 2022

My students enjoyed used the model magic clay to create a model of themselves. There were so many colors to choose from. Each child was able to choose their colors for their clothing, shoes and skin color. They are also so happy to have paint and paint brushes to continue showing our artistic creativity. In science, we used the microscope to check out different objects close up! Finally, thank you for the stackable crayons, this will make a great end of the year gift for my hard working students!”

  • Hands-on Science

    Funded Dec 27, 2021

My students enjoys the STEM learning kits. Students learn best through hands-on learning and inquiry, which these kits provide. The students asked questions and tested experiments. In the sink or float center the students asked, "How many gems can the boat hold before it sinks?", "how many frogs can the lily pad hold?" and "which animals weigh more or less and will it make the boat sink?". This type of inquiry and exploration is what the 21st century learner needs. In the motion center students explored how to make their car go fast and slower. In the magnet center students explored which objects were magnetic and also explored polarity. The students learned so many skills and had a chance to engage in scientific inquiry.

As our students continue to learn about different topics in science, they will have fun and engaging resources. Thank you so much for making my students excited about learning.”

  • Multi-Sensory Social Emotional Learning

    Funded May 17, 2021

My students truly enjoyed playing with play dough during our Social Emotional Learning time. They created creative projects with the play dough and enjoyed the quiet tranquility of this time. They also enjoyed the Dot Dot Art markers to create beautiful artwork. Finally, we had a great time building with Legos using the Build me Emotions sets. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for these materials. They brought a smile to each child's face. It gave them something to look forward to doing while still maintaining social distance and COVID-19 protocols.”

  • Let's Make Online learning visible for students with clear masks!

    Funded Dec 10, 2020

Thank you again for your generosity. The Teachers Pay Teachers Gift card allowed me to purchase amazing digital tools for both my in-person and remote students. The students love the variety of activities I can provide to practice their sight words. Most of the students enjoy creating sight words with cubes the most!

I was also able to purchase digital math tools. They enjoyed being able to manipulate and move the numbers in order to practice number recognition. Learning numbers 1-20 is so important in Kindergarten.

The clear communicator masks were amazing as well. I shared them with the rest of the kindergarten team. The masks are great when we teach FUNdations. The students truly need to see mouth placement when learning their letter sounds. Plus now the students get to see our faces which is an added connection we can make in these difficult times.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Grubert

  • Everything Is Different This Year...Let's Make It a Great One!

    Funded Aug 13, 2020

My students enjoyed creating paper dolls using all of the materials provided. The students really liked that the project could be personalized to them by choosing the body, hair, eye color and accessories.

The students use the white board markers every day when practicing their letters, sight words and counting skills. Kindergarteners go through many markers, so having an abundant supply was important.

The students also made use of the name tags which was also a great place for them to clip their mask.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Grubert

My students are in first grade. Some students are struggling in reading and need correctly leveled books to read. They love to read and engage in fun activities. They work hard and do their homework despite the socio-economic status. My school does not have the money to supply us with these necessary items. My school is 100% free lunch.
