  • Special Needs in Brooklyn!

    We are so thankful for all of the supplies that we have received. Each day, we utilize these resources. The paper is so bright! The ink helps us to print assignments. The ink also helps us to differentiate and create individualized assignments for each and every child. The erasers are used for positive reinforcement. The index cards are used for study tools. You really helped to make a difference in our classroom.

    When we told the students that all of these amazing supplies were donated, they were overjoyed and shocked!! They could not believe that kind people would be so generous. Each and every child had a giant smile that lasted all day long. They went home and shared the exciting news with their families.

    These supplies have really made a difference in the level of learning that takes place within the classroom. The children now have pencils to write with. The children have the basic supplies that they were lacking before you were so generous.”

    I am very thankful for the generous donations that you have given. The children are going to be so excited and appreciative. They are going to utilize each and every resource. We are so excited and still in shock. We will treat these supplies very gently and try and make sure that many students get to use them.

    Our classroom does not have that much technology, so the integration of the technology will be amazing. And the ability to print each day will make a dramatic impact on our classroom. Thank you.”

My students are special in every way. I teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade special needs mathematics. The students have a wide range of disabilities. The school is located in Brooklyn, New York. The children lack the resources to bring all of the necessary supplies and it is very difficult to purchase all of the things that we need for the classroom. Many of the students show up to school without a pencil or even a piece or paper. These supplies will help to teach and also motivate the children to want to learn. We need dry erase markers and the colorful paper will be given to the students for projects.
