  • A Soft Place to Learn

    You are awesome! Thank you so much for donating to my first grade classroom. It means a lot to know that I have your support. You literally made me cry when I looked and saw that the carpet was purchased. I never thought it would actually get funded, but a girl can dream right?

    I am so ready to have a normal school year and the carpet is the beginning of that. My students were so excited when we placed it in the classroom. We really get to sit by each other? YES! Their little eyes lighted up with excitement. You are the best. Thank you so much for blessing me and my 20 kiddos. I'll say it again..... You are awesome!”

  • Sick Headphones: Prescription Needed

    I am over the moon excited with the headphones that you helped purchase for my classroom. Thank you so much!!

    My first graders are so tough on supplies and headphones are hitting the floor on a daily basis. They don't mean to drop them, but it happens. The school had purchased some but they did not last long. The ones you helped purchase will stay in my classroom and are quality made. My students eyes lighted up when they saw them. Now, computer lab time is one of my favorite times of the day. No more trying one set of headphones after another until one finally works enough that the student can hear out of at least one side.

  • Sketching My Way Through First Grade!

    Art has been cut throughout our parish and the regular education teacher (that's me) has now had to pick up the slack. I want to try my best to create many different types of art activities with my first graders. For many kids, Art is the only subject that they feel confident and successful in. It allows students a creative outlet in which to express themselves.

    Thank you so much for the sketch pads, pencils, pencil grips, erasers, and multicultural markers. I want to make sure that each student is represented in the way they choose and has a collection of art works to send home at the end of the school year.

  • Dinosaurs, Rocks, and Fossils! Oh My!

    Thank you so much for your generous donation to our first grade classroom. We have a new Reading program this year and new topics that we get to discover. A few of those topics are dinosaurs, rocks, and fossils. We are so excited to learn about the past and have so many different questions.

    These supplies will allow us to have a hands on approach to learning. You are the reason we are able to touch, feel, and dig into these topics. We thank you from the bottoms of our hearts. Although we did get a little messy, it was all in good fun and lots of learning took place.

  • Hip Hip Hooray! It's Your Birthday!

    I cannot thank you enough for your very generous donations to my first grade classroom. I wanted to make each student feels special on their big day and because of you I can now do that. Birthday's are a BIG deal to first graders and we love to celebrate with our friends.

    The supplies that I was able to purchase due to your donations have allowed me to make a birthday bag for each student. I will also decorate their chair within our classroom so that they are recognized. Each bag will contain gifts for students that they can bring home or keep at school.

    My students were very excited when they saw the supplies and are excited to see who's birthday is next. We love getting packages and boy were we ecstatic to see what was inside. Thank you for blessing 20 first graders with your donation.”
