Over 90% of my students come from a single parent home, as well as, low income environments. Our school has decided to start a band program to help expose our students to a more positive environment. Currently I have about 50 excited and motivated students ready to start learning how to play instruments. Your contributions will help up to make this a reality for our students. I am living proof that participation in band can help save lives. Through my participation in Band I found family, love, and acceptance. I found a support system that helped me aim for the stars and today I am a Band Director.
