Coloring My Student's Educational Experience With Creativity
Funded Dec 26, 2009I would like to thank you for your support. The materials granted have been very appreciated. The students use the coloring tools at the end of each project we have completed in class. They also use it to express their vivid and colorful imaginations. As an educator, It is a wonderful feeling knowing that my students are learning a lot and having a wonderful learning experiences in my classroom. The art supplies also helped with children who have reading deficiencies. The students are encouraged them to draw what they could not write. They use their colors and images that they draw to create meaning.
I have been able to incorporate all subjects when using the art supplies. In math my students were able use the water colors to show symmetry. They used the coloring tools to make fossils for our science project. The markers and oil pastels were used in the creation of many students made banners and signs. The students often have direct contact with the art tools because they are located in their caddy in the center of the table.
My students love to draw and tell stories. They are very appreciative of the tools you have given them to help their creativity shine. They take care of the markers and the oil pastels and,the crayons are still in the boxes. The caddy is kept neat and organized.
Once again I would like to thank you for your generosity and care.

This classroom project was brought to life by Perry & Donna Golkin Family Foundation and one other donor.Great Chess Players
Funded Nov 21, 2008I would really like to thank you for funding our request. We are very eager to receive and play with the chess sets. It really means a lot to our class that you care about us and our commitment to learning. Your support for our chess club is a remarkable testament to helping my students become life long learners outside of the standard curriculum. They will be learning strategies and moves while playing a game that requires a lot of thought and concentration. This is the first time that we have offered chess as a part of our enrichment activities and because of you, we will no longer have to worry about securing the materials.
Once again thank you for your generosity. It's an amazing gift that will be cherished for years to come.
Thank you,
Evit”
