My students are amazing little 3 and 4 year old children who are enrolled in the Early Childhood Special Education Program. They can melt your heart with a simple smile! Their excitement for learning is contagious. There is nothing more rewarding then hearing one of them yell, "I did it!" These students are like little sponges and love exploring new things. My goal is to provide a positive learning environment where every student has infinite possibilities to grow and reach their full potential. We work on a variety of developmental and academic skills, such as socializing, the letters of the alphabet, numbers, colors, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, communicating, and following rules. For a lot of my students, this is their first exposure to a classroom and social environment. Our school is considered a high poverty area. We are located in a very rural area. As teachers we are only allowed to order around $150 worth of supplies for the entire school year.
