This school year, we are focusing on the drive for reading. Our students have the potential to build, create and successfully learn reading no matter what level they are. Day to day, we want to provide a strong foundation for students to learn how to read. It is so important that they do this with a structured reading set, including every level from kindergarten through third grade. Without these materials, it is a challenge for teachers to effectively give students the necessary tools to drive their reading skills and increase their levels for success. By using these guided reading books and creating accessibility for ALL teachers and students, we can provide the necessary tools and resources our students will need to become successful readers! I am a firm believer in growth for every student, using all the resources possible and driving instruction effectively by creating a strong environment that promotes success. This guided reading library will do just that by helping to close the achievement gap that so many of our students sometimes fall under. I am excited to do this for my team and students! We look forward to starting off the year right!
