My students are bright, energetic, and eager to learn new things. They come from many diverse backgrounds and cultures. Franklin is a public school in Philadelphia with about 1,200 students and is located in an area of the city with a low socioeconomic population. Despite the limitations that the effect of poverty can sometimes have on learning, my students come to school everyday with curiosity and willingness to work hard in order to succeed. I foster the idea that all of them can overcome their circumstances by gaining the education they need to accomplish the goals they set for themselves!
