Teaching special education students is a privilege. My students need more one on one instruction, more time, and more resources to help them understand a particular concept being taught. Many of these kids have specific learning disabilities that hinder them from keeping up with their peers in their general education classroom setting. The materials I have chosen are centered around small-group learning, they are researched-based and connect to the core standards in reading and math. These items will help my students to grow by combining one on one time with small group instruction by using materials that are new and exciting!
