My classroom is filled with students who desire to become better readers. Struggling readers often struggle in all subjects in school. Many times, my students come from homes that cannot afford to purchase books for their family. Students come to my class for a safe place to practice reading and learn strategies that can be applied to both independent reading and reading in other classes. My students have a wide range of interests, but love sharing great titles with each other. Our school is located in a community that stresses success in school and works to support parents and students in doing this.
