There are 32 students in my fifth grade who come from various ethnic and economic households. They enter the classroom each day eager to learn and tackle any challenge I give them. One of the highlights of their day is small group and center time. They are always so disappointed when anything interrupts this time. I believe the students value this time because they able to be successful at their own level. Things that might not have made sense before suddenly start to fall into place. There are times I can literally see the light bulbs going off in their heads. It is truly a joy to see them grow and improve.
