Our school fits most of the stereotypes of a high poverty school. Many of our students come from disadvantaged backgrounds. We have a high number of students who have English as a second language. We have a high number of minority students. We are on the East side of San Jose. However, our school is not defined by those stereotypes. We are transforming ourselves into a science and technology focused campus with emphasis in engineering. We are transforming students' potential into the actual: building perseverance, problem solvers and thinkers. We are transforming typical stereotypes of a East side San Jose school where students are underperforming to one where we can achieve and compete in the Silicon Valley. Our students deserve quality materials and experiences to reach their fullest potential.
