In Need of Yoga Mats for Fun and Fitness!

I want to thank all of you who took the time and effort to donate your hard earned money towards my "Fitness Guru's" need for comfy and cozy yoga/exercise mats. The yoga/exercise mats that were purchased for the kids are spongy and comfortable enough to stretch out on and motivate kids to try their hardest. There were two types of yoga mats that were purchased, which hopefully can be viewed in the pictures I uploaded. Some of the Yoga mats are light blue in color and have an array of turtles portrayed on the surface. The others are bright orange, with smiling sun faces, that easily inspire the kids to feel a sense of happiness when they are getting ready to stretch out on them. They are truly perfect fitting mats just for kids!

Once the mats were shipped in I heard such phrases as "Wow, did you purchase those? How cool is that! I want the blue sea turtle mats! Now we don't have to stretch across the cold dirty floor when we prepare for the "Cow or Cobra poses." The kid's excitement was felt across the room. Their faces lit up as though they were running down the aisles of there favorite toy store! I took time out to explain to them that some very generous contributors wanted to guide them on their journey towards health and fitness and they were anxious to get these mats for them. They were very gracious and couldn't wait to open them up and position them on the floor in whichever manner they wanted!

Once the mats were received we opened them quickly and used them continuously during our Exercise Club slot!

Kids even shared mats at times because they are wide enough for two kids in this age group to fit comfortably. This promoted buddy work and buddy conversation which was a perfect addition to our classroom since most of the students are second language learners! Thanks so much for everything!!”
