Math In Action
Funded Dec 14, 2022I want to start by saying "Thank you" for the wonderful tools you made it possible to enhance math instruction in the classroom. Students have been able to travel through the building capturing math being used by all the stakeholders. Students have been caught doing math in physical education class when they count the number of push-ups a peer can complete in a few minutes. Students have captured math in science class when liquids are measured using beakers. Students have been able to capture the administrative team using math to calculate growth and the number of students needing remediation or after-school tutorial services.
Students did not realize how much math lives in all of our daily activities, especially in school. Students observed how much math is in their parents' lives at home. We received feedback from parents about their children wanting to be in the kitchen more or go shopping with them to calculate how much money was being spent. And as a result, students did experience or achieve at least 2% growth in their assessment data.
Students can learn. Even students in economically deprived neighborhoods can learn with the proper resources and tools to spark curiosity. Thank you again for your generous donation.”

Pass it Please!!!!
Funded Dec 4, 2019My students and I would like to thank each and every heart who sowed into the education of my students! If you didn't understand before, we all truly understand the importance of community. Without you, my community, my students and I would have gone without the instructional devices. We are especially grateful for the gift of our classroom Bose speaker. Days after the speaker arrived, the sound on my board went out! We were down, yet not out; the speaker arrived right on time! Due to our abbreviated classroom instruction, we weren't able to use the hard drive & wireless slate board. Once again, we thank you for being committed to educators across the world!”

This classroom project was brought to life by Verizon and 11 other donors. Is This Right??!!
Funded Sep 23, 2019Once again, my scholars and I greatly appreciate every monetary donation at any level. The two sided boards were a great addition to my classroom instruction. The use of the boards gave way to me being able to see all individual answers of the students with a simple rotation of the neck. I'm able to correct errors of students quicker and more efficiently. My algebra students use the boards daily to graph functions.
The students were very excited and anxious to have free access to these instructional tools. It amazes me as to how a single board increases different activity instantly. Thank you a million times, thank you.”

Once they realized that it was a document camera, they were eminently excited!! Student, after student, after student were very eager to showcase their work to their peers. I can not explain how this gift has impacted my students and I. It's amazing to see a piece of technology that can resuscitate student participation. Thanks for supporting teachers around the world!”

Funded Nov 26, 2018Thank you, thank you, and thank you! My students were so grateful to receive the items listed in the project's wish list! When the box arrived, I had a student to retrieve it from the office. As she returned to the room, I allowed her to tear open the box. She held up a box of markers as if it were a first place trophy; the class went wild! All of their faces had a smear of excitement across it! Who would have known that something as small as a dry erase makers would generate such excitement! You all have equipped the students with the tools for engagement! Thanks for giving to us, so that we can give to our future!”

21st Century Classroom
Funded Oct 7, 2016One day my students and I were going through or daily lesson, via the smart board. As the students became active participants in lesson, by manipulating objects on the smart board, my computer screen went black. The students and I became very agitated, as this has happened several times before. Upon rebooting my computer, we discovered that the smart board would no longer communicate with my faulty computer. Error messages began to run ramped after various tries. We would like to thank all donors for your contribution. A new laptop was purchased and we are forever grateful. The students are very happy now that we are able to go through multiple engaging activities, without the computer system shutting down. Sending a great big thank you, from our hearts to yous!”

Technology Please!
Funded Aug 14, 2016My students and I would like to give a humongous thank you to our donors who satisfied and funded our wish list! There's nothing like Christmas in October! Your contributions to us have most certainly helped with lesson differentiation, both remediation and lesson extensions. The students are able to listen/watch video tutorials on the tablets without disturbing others around them. The tablet covers provide protection to ensure that the tablets will be usable for many years to come. We are forever grateful to you!”

Technology at our Fingertips!
Funded Aug 6, 2015Words alone cannot express how grateful we are to you for your generous donation. Thank you so much for your contribution toward making education a success. It's only with committed volunteers like you that we can equip our students with "Technology at Their Fingertips". My students greatly benefit from your donation of Acer tablets. Due to your donation, students are able to receive instant remediation when basic skills have not been mastered, delve deeper into concepts through lesson extensions, and are even self-taught by accessing sites on tablets. You all have made it much easier to individualize the education of many students and are credited for the overall growth of several students. We hope that you are willing to continue to carry the torch of volunteerism and efforts in the years to come.”
