A Rug for My Firsties
Funded Dec 29, 2017It is amazing to have a clean and set location in which all my first grade students can come together and meet with me. My students now are assigned a color and animal on the carpet in which they sit and can better focus while I read and teach. They were amazed when I first opened the carpet right in front of them. I was so excited, I could not wait until the end of the day when it was delivered to my classroom. My students were in awe and speechless when I unrolled the carpet right in front of their very eyes. Once again that you for your generous donations. We so appreciate you kind and very generous gesture.”

Books Will Stand!
Funded Aug 11, 2017Thank you for your gracious donations. My first graders and I appreciate the donations and are so excited to have one central location where students are able to go independently to reread, partner read, or research information based on topics we are learning in class.
Now, students go to the book stand to help them remember content and topics we are learning about for the day, week, or month. Students are beginning to become more independent and self reflective thanks to the book shelf.
My first graders are eager to go pick out books from the book shelf that they can reread, read to a buddy, ask questions about, and reflect on. They love the way the books stand out and can't wait to go over and over again.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Lakeshore Learning and one other donor.Extending Math Outside of Classroom
Funded Apr 21, 2017What an incredible feeling the students had when I opened our package which included the donations from the project "Extending Math Outside of Classroom". Students are using the tools to help them in the classroom as well as at home. Students are practicing at home with the Foam Number Dice to expand learning addition facts. The Children's Timer is used in the classroom to follow a rotating schedule with our technology implementations. The Read & Solve Center will be used with a Math Check Out system where students can borrow the center for 2-3 days to practice at home. Students are now able to borrow math materials to practice and be engaged at home as they reinforce concepts they are learning in school. Thank you so much to our generous donors. You make a world of a difference.”

Engaging With Chromebooks!
Funded Dec 20, 2016My students and I were so excited to hear that our projects was fully funded. These 2 HP Chromebooks have been such an awesome addition to our classroom in which students are able to use online resources to read and gain understanding on their levels as well as making connections between self, text, and world. The students were excited to have the chance to use the Chromebooks on a daily basis during our reading block. We are so grateful for your generous donations to make it possible for my students to have the technology component to prepare them for college and career.”

Technology Using A MimioPad
Funded Nov 7, 2016Hip Hip Hooray! It was so exciting to hear that our project, Technology Using A Mimiopad was funded. Unfortunately, this item was not available when the project was funded. Instead, we did request and receive a Google Chromebook with headphones in order to have students participate in projects, activities, and online resources on a daily basis. Students are engaged with the interactive and digital resource that is now a part of our daily schedule. With much excitement, we give thanks for your donations and support with impacting the future leaders of tomorrow.”

All for Math!
Funded Mar 9, 2016Thanks to your generous donations, my students are using the Write and Wipe Boards to display their answers to the teacher as well as peer students. They are able to self correct and peer tutor using the boards and Magnetic Base Ten Sets. Students have been using the Osmo Math Game with the Osmo Gaming System already in place to reinforce fluency in math skills. The students were so excited when they first saw the materials coming out of the box. The next step for my students are to use the manipulative on their own to promote self independence.”

Supplies To Start Off School Year 2016-2017
Funded Jun 15, 2016Thanks to the generous donation of Supplies To Start Off School Year 2016-2017, Students in my class will not have supplies and materials to get them started in order to begin the year with a positive attitude. They used crayons to color their pictures with details, I used the pens to edit and conference with students, Post-its were used to make notes on what stuck with them for the day, and scissors and glue were used to cut and pasted pictures for work activities.
Students were amazed to see supplies to start off the year. They had smiles on their faces when they knew that they had the supplies needed to do their work. Students felt comfortable sharing and using the supplies that were donated.
Next, students will be working on keeping supplies organized and respecting each others' belongings. They will be making more art projects using some of the supplies that were donated.”

Osmo iPad for iCan 1st Graders
Funded Feb 7, 2016Class 1-24 wants to thank you very much for your kind and generous donations. These technological tools that you have been able to assist us in getting are very much appreciated to our class. As you know 2016 and going further in time, technology is evolving as so should our kids: the way they learn, behave, and most of all succeed. Thanks to the Apple iPad, iPad Case, and Osmo Gaming system, students in Class 1-24 will be given the chance to embrace a new way to learn and play altogether. Students who are struggling to read have been successful in making new words and applying the letter knowledge to further their reading skills. Thank you once again for this generous donation.”
