My classroom is full of 22 vibrant, excited, diverse third graders. My room is a fairly typical representation of our school as a whole. We have a wide range of languages that are spoken among our students, various cultures that make up our population, & a large number of low income families. However, the most important "data" of all is that there is one thing all of our students have in common. They have a need to feel safe, known, and loved. They have the need to be taught in ways that they can learn. In my classroom, each child brings their own unique set of challenges and strengths to our classroom community and that is what makes each day in our room exciting!
