Busy with Books
Funded Nov 11, 2015Thank you all so much for your generous donation to our classroom project! We were in dire need of books for our classroom library, but now we have a great selection of books! My students are so excited to start checking out books to take home to read. They are already asking to check them out, even though I haven't got them labeled and entered into my library check-out system! I can't wait until I get the books ready, so they can check them out. We will definitely be great readers, thanks to you all!”

Ready to Read
Funded Nov 12, 2015Thank you all so much for your generous donation to our classroom project! With the books we received, my students will certainly make some growth in the areas of reading. The books will help my students develop and expand their reading skills. At this time, I am trying to label and enter the books into my library system, and the students are already asking to check out the books. This has really helped to motivate them in many ways to want to read! They are so excited to have new books to explore! Thank you so much!”

Desperate for a Document Camera
Funded Sep 19, 2015Thank you so much for your generous donations to our classroom project!!! We have been in need of a document camera, such as this one, for the longest time. Now that we have a document camera, we can move through modeling and directions with great ease and understanding. When I told my students that we got enough donations to our project, to buy the document camera we need, they were ecstatic. The students know that with a document camera, our learning will be much more efficient and effective. This is really a dream come true for our classroom! Thank you, again!”

Pencils and Pocket Chart Stands, Please!
Funded May 5, 2015This project that you have funded has significantly helped our class! I did not have an anchor chart stand, and last year, I was trying to use one I had made out of PVC pipes. I also did not have many of the pencils left that I bought at the beginning of the year. My students were so excited to see that we received two pocket chart stands and pencils, for our room! I can now post anchor charts on the stand for students to use as a reference. My students will now be able to use the anchor charts from Fundations, as well as other subjects, to refer to when needed. This project that you have funded has significantly helped our class!”

Pencils Please!
Funded May 7, 2015My students were so glad to hear that we received enough donations to our project to get our pencils and pencil top erasers. Although pencils and erasers are essential for learning, I struggled with keeping them in my classroom, this year. Some parents were not able to get supplies for their child, so this has helped us (and me) tremendously. My class and I want to sincerely thank you all for your generous donation to our classroom. Because of all of you, we will now be able to be successful!!!!”

Gaming Our Way to Success!
Funded Nov 4, 2014I cannot begin to explain how excited the students were to know that we received all of the donations needed for the iPad. They are having a lot of fun using the iPad for online, educational games, conducting research, and taking AR tests.They absolutely love logging on to Reflex Math and IXL.com, in their free time, to learn more about the topics we are covering.
Before we received the iPad, we only had three computers for the students and I to use. Now that we have an iPad, one more student can get online. The number of AR tests that students have taken have significantly increased since receiving the iPad.
I can see growth in my students' understanding of the topics being taught. The students' use online math games to reinforce and/or practice the skills I teach. Having this extra resource has tremendously helped my student”

Projecting for the Future!!!
Funded Dec 29, 2014The students were so excited to see that we received enough donations to get our projector for the classroom. They are excited to see educational videos, and demonstrations projected on the whiteboard.
With your donation to our project, we are able to project things on a large scale so that every student can see clearly. Before, the students would crowd around one computer as I sat beside it and taught the lesson. The students are more engaged and enthusiastic about watching educational videos and demonstrations than ever before.
I can see the projector impacting my teaching and the students' learning for the better. If the students are able to see clearly, and are more excited and engaged, our learning will be positively impacted.”
