  • Making Learning Fun and Comfortable for All

    Funded Dec 4, 2024

Thank you so much for the wonderful accessories to my classroom. The children are loving their new stool and a place to sit away and get some privacy and quiet. The bright colored paper has really helped our classroom pop and the kids like to see their work on it. The students are able to sit together in a small little group on their stools and have meaningful conversation. They also have a nice comfortable place to sit on the floor where they can sit for a while on their cushions and see the board and be IN the lesson.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lalicata

  • Go Wireless or Go Home: Head Microphones Needed!

    Funded Dec 2, 2014

Thank you so much for your generous contributions to my students and me. It has had a great impact on the students in my theater program. They are able to really show their talents by having their voices projected from the head microphones. They are using these microphones and seem to be more confident in their performance and are able to feel like real performers. These mics help them to be able to move about the stage freely and not be restricted to one place. They are able to use both their hands and bodies to express themselves in a more theatrical way which makes for a much better performance.

These microphones have not only been useful to the students in theater, but also to the many other students in the school building. Children in other grades have also been able to put on some small performances in their classrooms and the auditorium using the wireless head mics. We are so grateful for providing our students with another resource to help them express themselves in a clear and more confident way.

I know that this equipment will be used from year to year and really help many students. It will make good performances, great and shy students more confident.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lalicata

My students are from a low-income area in Queens, New York. These fourth and fifth graders can choose theater club to showcase their hidden talents. They are singers, dancers and actors. They have few other opportunities to express themselves in an artistic way!
