Phonics Tool Box
Funded May 10, 2023My students appreciate all of the materials that were donated. They have been very excited to practice the phonics skills we have been learning in new ways. The old materials I had been using became boring to the students that I work with in my small groups. These new materials have made my students excited to work in small groups again.
The hot wheel cars have especially been a hit. They are helping the students blend words together in an engaging way. Students are excited to work in small groups with these new materials. I have seen much improvement in their phonics skills.”

Literacy Fun!
Funded Dec 30, 2022My students are enjoying the use of the new materials every Friday. They look forward to fun Friday every week! They were so excited when the new materials arrived.
The new materials have given my students a new way to practice the concepts being taught in a new and exciting way. Students are getting better at the skills that we are practicing and their confidence has been growing!
I plan on adding more games and hands on activities for fun Friday so that the students always have something new to look forward to.”

Reading Through Hands-on Activities!
Funded Nov 10, 2021I would like to express my appreciation for the new materials for my reading intervention program. My students are thoroughly enjoying the hands on reading activities. On Fridays, they are practicing the skills that they are learning throughout the week in a more engaging and fun manner.
When the materials arrived the students were really excited to see what was in the box! They were looking forward to using the new materials. Now that we have been using the materials for awhile. The students still get excited about using the activities. One my students even said, "We get to play and learn at the same time."
The next steps for my students is form them to be able to use the new materials independently so that they can practice what they are learning during their independent work time. I am looking forward to seeing them continue to enjoy the materials.”

Funded Jul 12, 2021My students really appreciate the new materials that we have received. We are using the new materials in our weekly instruction. We learn new Secret Stories every week and students are loving it! I can already see that the students are learning the different spelling patterns when they use the gestures they have learned when they are reading.
Students were excited and curious about the Secret Stories. When they see the posters they ask when we are going to learn the next Secret Story.
The next step is to provide more hands on activities so that the Secret stories that they learn can b reinforced and practiced.”

Funded May 20, 2020My students are enjoying the new digital materials that I was able to purchase with the Teachers Pay Teachers Gift card. With the gift card I was able to purchase things that I could use digitally since we are doing distance learning. Specifically we have been focusing on our well being and social emotional learning. I was able to purchase a digital wellness journal that the students complete every week.
Students have really been enjoying the activities that are included in the wellness journal. They are taking care of their mental and emotional health. I can tell that the students are enjoying this resource because of the pictures that they submit doing different activities for the journal. For example, reading a book in their favorite spot in their house or going on a texture hunt.
The next steps are to find more engaging materials that can be used digitally with my students. I want to find more materials on Teachers Pay Teachers that will be just as fun for my students to complete.”

Funded Nov 18, 2015I would like to say thank you for the donations! My students have really enjoyed having them in the classroom. Currently they are being used during small group time. They are using them to build their spelling words of the week. It is great for them to have letters to manipulate. I have seen improvements in their spelling. It is exciting!
We opened up the package together, and my kids were very excited! Our classroom has limited resources because I am a new teacher so it is great to have this resource in the classroom. They had a lot of questions about how we got the materials. They could not wait to get their hands on them! These materials have been a great resource to my classroom!”
