When Needs Are Met, Learning Soars!
Funded Dec 7, 2022My students use the items that you purchased every single day. I was able to distribute fidgets, oral sensory tools, curriculum, snacks, and more to every teacher in our school. I also built a fidgets and rewards stash in our staff workroom so that teachers can replenish their supplies as-needed, without spending their own money.
The students were overjoyed when they saw our break spaces with new fidgets, coloring books, and noise-cancelling headphones.
The next step for this project is for our middle school students to learn how to be allies and leaders for our elementary students experiencing sensory needs.
Thank you again, so much,
Laurie A. Reddy”

This classroom project was brought to life by Panda Cares and 6 other donors.Fantastic First Grade is Reddy to Learn!
Funded Jul 27, 2016I am amazed at how quickly this project was funded. It is clear that to me how much support I and my students have in my family and community and I appreciate it SO much. I cannot wait for my students to see how many "strangers" care about them and want them to succeed.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.”

We Have a Dream for Hands-On Learning
Funded Jan 23, 2015My students have absolutely loved using the science centers that your donated dollars purchased. We have been using the Solar System center and Animals center almost every day. My students are able to use these wonderful items during our literacy centers time.
My students have been studying the different planets in the solar system for the last month. The students that have used the solar system center have been able to deepen their knowledge and understanding of this topic. They often bring new facts to classroom discussions that help engage other students.
My students have always wanted to learn more about the creatures in the animal kingdom. In the animal science center students have the opportunity to figure out which family each animal goes in, and they have to write one interesting fact about each family!
To say the least, my students are doing a lot more hands-on learning thanks to your donation! Thank you for giving them this opportunity.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Laurie
Giving Up is Not an Option
Funded Oct 17, 2014When I brought the boxes down to my classroom from the front office my kids cheered and jumped up and down--this was before they even knew what was in the boxes! My scholars cherish any and every opportunity they are given because not many have come their way. When I told them that in one of the boxes was a screen to project things on they said "you mean we don't have to erase our whiteboard every time?" I opened the box with the projector and they were amazed at how small and quiet it is! They loved that it would not overheat, and was small enough to fit in a cabinet.
I have multiple scholars with sensory delays, and fine motor delays. This means that when I plan my lessons, I aways make sure there is some sort of gross-motor involved. With these new resources I can do that easily with every single lesson! My students love math now because we watch and dance to videos about counting, adding, subtracting etc. They walk around all day singing the songs and imitating the moves they learned from their math videos! My scholars work very hard to earn Brain Breaks on gonoodle.com, when they earn one we pick a video to dance, sing, breathe or move to, together! We have been using our resources to research robots, clouds, and vacuums for science, making writing and learning so much more enjoyable.
Lastly, thanks to the resources you so generously provided, I now have classroom management under control. I am able to use Class Dojo, an online interactive classroom management program that entices my scholars to earn points and help others.
Thank you so much for your hard earned money that you poured into this project. My scholars are benefiting every single day from the money you gave.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Laurie
