To my wonderful donor(s)-You made my day today when I found out my proposal has been fully funded! Seeing is believing and I am now convinced that DonorsChoose does indeed really work. This was my very first proposal and I have to admit,I was a little skeptical at first. I was afraid that by the time the proposal was funded, the school year would be over. I am just learning how this program works and I hope it will be possible to resubmit this proposal for next year's classes (with modifications) and at the very beginning of the school year. I am just amazed how well this has worked out! I am so excited about starting this special pottery lesson. I cannot wait to share the results of your generous giving. Hello! I teach elementary K-5 art in NC. This lesson is for my two 4th grade classes and my two 5th grade classes, totaling approximately 80 students. My school is an inner city, title one school that is currently in a high priority status. I have worked at the school since 2000 and have been able to develop some continuity in their art education, especially in the area of pottery and sculpture using clay and substitute clay.
