Waterbury is a Title-1 school district and my students come from a diverse variety of backgrounds. Resources are very limited and my students deserve the best, what any parent would want for their children. As a computer teacher, I try to utilize as many free educational programs that are available, expose my students to as much as possible, but sometimes that doesn't cut it. Sometimes students need a "brain-break" (what we call them in my class) to relax for a bit and give their brain a break. What better way to do this than by incorporating art into the classroom? This allows my students to show their creativity and express themselves within the classroom.
