Good Personal Hygiene is a Must!
Funded Sep 9, 2023Thank you for your donation to my personal hygiene closet for my students.
Having good personal hygiene is essential for a comfortable learning environment. Being able to relax, having self-confidence helps make learning much easier and social skills will build.
Our 7th and 8th grade students have PE and athletics during the school day.
They come back to class not as fresh as when they left. Our students start to feel self-conscious. This can play on a student's mental state. Students should not have to worry about it. I always kept feminine products, combs, lotion, and body spray available in my room. I like to have more options for both our female and male students.
I have been pleasantly surprised how the students have respected the items available for them to come grab and use. I love how they have told their friends that they could come grab the items they need without any questions being asked. To see students feel fresh and comfortable in the classroom has improved their learning and social skills.
Again thank you from my students and myself.”

Funded Aug 2, 2023My I am a Dyslexia Interventionist in a small, rural school in Mississippi County, Arkansas. Many of our parents do not have the finances for supplies. Many parents are struggling to budget their money in this economical and financially difficult time.
My students were so surprised when they received packages full of school supplies.
When I told my students that their parents did not have to purchase any supplies for their class, they were absolutely thrilled . The stress was alleviated and they are able to focus more on their school work. They are so very appreciative of your kind donation.
We have started our interactive notebook where we collect the roots, prefixes, and suffixes that are taught in each lesson. We color and cut out a visual reference for the learned morpheme, glue it to the correlating section and write the meanings, examples, definitions of examples, and sentences using example words.
My students were thrilled to have their own personal drill decks with our morphemes on index cards. Each root, prefix, or suffix is put in a index box that houses their drill decks nicely.
I have already given out several completion certificates as well as reading awards!
My students are being successful in their education and life.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Opal Wyss Loven
