Sixth graders are great readers. This is the year where they get hooked in a genre. I have included many books from their wish list, so their reading dreams will come true. I would like to offer them a wide range of reading materials and posters from our study with ancient civilizations, too. I'm including clear, contact paper to help the books be stronger since they will be in backpacks and going home. When students are home for extended periods of time, I want to make sure they each have a great book to get their nose in. I'm requesting some supplies to help those who do not have the needed supplies to be successful in class. It is uncomfortable to ask for supplies, so I would like to have an area where students can help themselves when they are in need.
