My students this year are vibrant and full of life! They love to learn, as well as share their new-found knowledge, and they love to draw and create more than any other class I have had. Our school theme this year is "Jump," so that fits their personalities and energy perfectly! I can tell we are going to have a lot of fun this year.
I am excited to start our unit on comparing and contrasting, where students will get to research two different countries of the world and create a visual compare/contrast project called the "Travel Project." This combination of research and compare/contrast is put into the format of a colorful travel brochure, with both pictures and short essays used to analyze the two countries each student chooses to research. This project gives students the chance to learn key Language Arts standards while allowing their creative sides to "jump" in.
