Music Room Propagation Station
Funded Nov 10, 2024It is with gratitude and appreciation that I submit this impact letter to you for your kindness and willingness to give to our CSS Propagation Station project! Thanks to your donation, 60 members of our school community will be caretakers of their very own pothos plant!
Since receiving the funding, I have raffled off pothos plants to students and teachers, propagated from two starter plants we now call "Mom" and "Mama." Each raffle winner received a sturdy flower pot, a bag of organic potting soil, and directions on how to care for their new plant. Select raffle winners also received a watering can. All of these supplies were paid for by your generous donation!
Thank you again for funding our Propagation Station project and more broadly, showing your support for greening our public schools. The CSS community is breathing fresher air and enjoying a more beautiful school thanks to you.”

We Are The Music Makers Part 2
Funded Jun 19, 2024It is with gratitude and appreciation that I submit this impact letter to you for your kindness and willingness to give to our CSS We Are The Music Makers projects! With the new equipment - ranging from keyboards and ukulele cases to guitar amp cords and vocal microphones - our CSS student musicians are ready for countless years of music-making!
All 300 student musicians who flow in and out of the CSS music room have benefited from your generous donation. The new keyboards we received were immediately added to our keyboard lab, enabling students to have more independent space to deepen their keyboard knowledge and skills. Our guitars and ukuleles are now safely stowed in cushioned cases and will last into the future. Additionally, as students gain skills on these instruments, we have posters to help them broaden their knowledge, and amp cords and supplies so that when they are ready, they can plug in and share at our many school showcases and celebrations. Our singers will also sound more professional thanks to our new vocal microphones!
Thank you again for funding our We Are The Music Makers projects and more broadly, showing your support for Music Education in our public schools. CSS student musicians enjoy every bit of use they get from each item donated, and we are constantly reminded that we have support and love from our greater community. Brava! Bravo!”

Rise And Shine! Take 1
Funded Mar 10, 2009Thank you again for your generous donation to our school. We received an amazing new section of choral risers, and are one step closer to starting our next year off with a bang! The section you purchased for us - combined with two additional sections we plan to purchase with money we raised through school-based fundraising efforts - will mean that we have a full set of risers for September when we start our choral program in our new building! This is an amazing gift.
As you can see in the pictures I posted, the old risers we are leaving behind pale in comparison to the new risers you helped us purchase! Not only are the new risers wider, enabling students to stand more comfortably in proper singing position, they are also built of high-quality material that will last for years! Students will no longer wobble as they sing, and we can feel safe when incorporating dance and percussive movement in to our choral programs. Another added feature that might not be obvious is that the new risers fold up in seconds thanks to a quick-release function, and have wheels that make transporting them simple and easy. With these extra features, we hope to travel out in to our surrounding community to share our music!
In closing, I again want to thank you for your generosity. With these new risers our choral students will continue to "Rise and Shine" and share amazing music for years to come! For this, we are so thankful.
Here's to Music!”

Drum Roll Please! Take One
Funded Mar 10, 2009Thank you again for your generous donation that enabled me to purchase a new set of cymbals for my music program! As you can see in the photos, the cymbals are already being put to great use as they arrived in time for one of our spring concerts! The students sounded amazing due to the high-quality cymbals that we now have at our school thanks to your donation.
We have had the new set of cymbals now for over a month, and the responses from students and parents have been amazing. Students are excited about the awesome sound of the cymbals and the ease of playing them with our drum set. They are also having so much fun learning to create a rich and complex sound utilizing the full range of our drum and cymbal set. Parents are excited because they no longer have to carry cymbals from home, or hear their child complain about transporting heavy cymbals from home to school each week! On a personal level, the cymbals have enabled me to feel confident about offering more students to opportunity play our drum and cymbal set, and continue to expand our music program offerings.
In closing, I again want to thank you for your generosity. Our new cymbals will be used for years to come, and will continue to bring exciting music to our school community! These resources will also inspire a new generation of performing musicians - watch out world! For all of this, this we are so thankful.
Here's to Music!”
