My TK students are most engaged when moving! The Soft and Safe Balance Beam will provide a great resource for the students to learn body awareness, turn taking, and will allow for indoor outdoor physical activity. The more the students move, the better they learn! In addition, the Let's Get Moving Activity mats can be used indoors and outdoors and will provide developmentally appropriate gross motor skills for our youngest learners. These mats can be used in parent support small group centers and then placed onto the playground to better engage all students. We would love a Sand and Water Exploration Table to provide a safe space for students to play in the sand, water, and even dirt! The sensory input is essential to the youngest learners' development. Children MUST HAVE the opportunity to feel sand, water, dirt, etc. between their fingers when scooping, measuring, pouring and simply creating. In our TK class, we would like explore the science of magnetism. The Lakeshore Magnet kit and the Can Do! Science Discovery Kits will provide the students with hands-on exploration and scientific vocabulary building opportunities. The students will have many opportunities and hands-on experiences to further grow their scientific minds.
