iPads for ELL's
Funded Jan 24, 2025iPads provide ENL students with personalized and engaging learning experiences that help them develop their language skills in meaningful ways. With translation tools, speech-to-text functions, and interactive apps, students can access content in both English and their home language, making comprehension easier. Visual and audio support in many educational apps allows students to engage with texts at their own pace, reinforcing vocabulary and grammar concepts. Additionally, iPads promote independent learning by offering adaptive programs that adjust to each student's proficiency level, helping them build confidence and fluency over time.
What excites students most about using iPads is the interactive nature of the technology, which transforms learning into an engaging experience. Many students, especially those who were initially hesitant to participate in class discussions, have warmed to the idea of using voice-recording apps to practice their pronunciation without the pressure of speaking in front of peers. Others have shown enthusiasm for digital storytelling tools, creating multimedia projects that showcase their creativity while strengthening their writing and speaking skills. The ability to collaborate with classmates through shared documents and interactive lessons has also made learning more dynamic, encouraging students to take an active role in their education.”
