This project will serve a culturally diverse group of students at my school, such as: students struggling with social and emotional needs, ELLs, students with learning disabilities, struggling readers, and students that suffer with depression and anxiety. These students often need a quiet place to feel safe, connect with a teacher or classmate, relax, breathe, re-center, and calm down when feeling frustrated or overwhelmed. The Serenity Book Nook station will allow them to enjoy some learning activities, a variety of culturally diverse reading materials, and have an opportunity to read for enjoyment and entertainment.

About my class
