  • Determined Developing Scholars Need Dictionaries

    Funded Mar 27, 2015

These dictionaries are going to be such a huge help in my classroom! Your generosity is so appreciated!! These will help the students with their literacy and vocabulary skills, particularly so close to state testing.

It is individuals like you that allow my students to receive materials they otherwise would not have access to. I cannot even express the depth of my thanks. I cannot wait to share these dictionaries with the students in my class. They are going to be so excited!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Cooper

  • Savvy Students Need New Technology

    Funded Dec 31, 2014

I truly cannot thank you enough for your donations. The Chromebooks have made such a splash in my room and have really impacted our day to day tasks. The day they arrived all of the students wanted to gather around and watch me open the boxes. They were all so excited to see them and help get them set up!

The students noted that our reading centers are now so much easier because we now can have each small group on the computers during their allotted time. I have felt much more confident when I pull my small groups for reading and math, that the rest of my class can be getting some truly beneficial work done on the Chromebooks. I am continuing to watch their typing skills improve as they practice more and more; which will make a HUGE impact for them when they take the state test in April. They will no longer have to focus on their typing, they can focus on their ideas and input.

These Chromebooks are helping our days run more smoothly and I now feel that I can give each child in my classroom more independent time on the computers practicing their reading, math, and writing skills. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Cooper

I truly believe that the students and staff at my school are in the best place they could possibly be! Everyone is so positive and encouraging, and you can tell it always rubs off on our students. My students in fourth grade are so eager to learn, but they are getting to the age where they want to have input on what they are learning. My school is in a low income area where many come each day and they are hungry, tired from helping with younger siblings or chores around the house that kept them up late the night before. Yet everyday, I see their excitement about what we will be doing at school that day. They are a remarkable group of young people!
