    Funded Sep 29, 2022

Our scholars would like to thank you for your generosity. Studies have shown that having a yoga practice in schools enables students to focus and excel academically and socially. With your assistance, our students will thrive. Thank you again for helping to give my students the tools they need to be successful.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Lewis

  • Teaching Literacy Through History

    Funded Dec 16, 2014

I would like to convey my sincere thanks to you for your recent thoughtfulness with your generous gift. It was so kind to donate toward my class project. I am truly touched by your generosity and willingness to assist students in need. This is truly a wonderful Christmas present. I am excited to begin the New Year with the Ipad Air.

My 6th grade Social Studies classes' learning experience will be enriched by the Ipad Air. Your present will allow struggling students to access the world of social studies on different levels. My lower level students will utilize the Ipad Air to assist them in reading social studies materials and chunk the materials in a way they could get a better understanding of it. They will now be able to access the world of Literacy through Social Studies.

Thank you again for being so thoughtful.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Lewis

My students come from all types of backgrounds, but are 100% minority and 100% get free lunch at school. They come to school each day and try their very best no matter what types of situations they are living in. Each and everyone of them are lucky to be a part of my school because there is not one adult in this building who does not want each and every student to succeed. With that being said, to see their 6th grade students come to our school at the age of 11, and not know their basic phonics, is heartbreaking. I want to change this and change these students' lives by opening their eyes up to the world of literature.
