Our students are making the change from visiting the library once a week with their class to choosing to visit the library in their free time. Building bridges of trust with students is important. These books will be used to help students see that the library listens to them to meet their entertainment/informational needs. By enticing students with the latest volumes of their favorite graphic novels, I am able to build a bridge to introduce other books. The smiles of students when you show them the book that they requested cannot be beat. Students come for the graphic novels, but stay for the information.
