  • Gardening Club Is Growing

    Funded May 18, 2023

I know its been a while but our gardening club is finally underway for the year! Students are allowed to apply for different clubs to be leaders at our campus in different ways. These 2nd and 3rd graders applied and were accepted to be in the gardening club. So far we have started seeds for our outdoor container garden, learned how to water, repot, and maintain our indoor plants all around the building as well as add ferns to our front doors and maintain the flower beds out front. They are beyond excited to come every Friday afternoon and do something new. This literally could not have happened without you! We hope to grow this to include raised bed gardens and a greenhouse to show even more kids the joy of houseplants, flowers and even fruits and vegetables. Thank you again for you generous donation.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Jackson

  • Happy Healthy Goal Setters!

    Funded Oct 6, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous donation. I am the RTI teacher and I see small groups all day long. Some of my students come during their class snack time and miss it in their room. Often my students are the very ones who need a snack before they get on the bus and so I provide them one. Another thing we do with the treats is use them as prizes for winning reading games we play or for when they reach a reading level goal. So many uses for the snacks you provided for us. Thank you again for helping us.”

  • Farewell to 2nd Grade

    Funded May 17, 2021

What a huge hit these farewell gifts turned out to be. I spent hours making pillow cases that said "Dream Big, Go far and always remember Mrs. Jackson believes in you!" Each one was in a bag that said "Have a good Summer! Love, Mrs. Jackson" and was stuffed with things to do over the summer. There were bubbles, jump ropes, cards, the pillow case and so much more thanks to your generous donation. I would never have been able to do this last farewell gift to the students that I had for for both years of first and second grade.”

  • Crazy About Books!!

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

We Love Books! There is just something so special about how excited the students get when we get new books. I have some boys that are Never attentive until you get out a book to read to the class. No matter who they are, what issues they have they love a book. After 13 years the library needed some freshening up for sure. You have been so generous to us more than once and I am so appreciative. I know you, like myself, want to grow up the next generation of lover of books. Thank you for helping to do just that!”

  • Small Group, Big Impact

    Funded Oct 27, 2020

The goal of teaching young children is to make learning so fun that they don't even realize they are learning. With the items you helped us get, the students can work with their hand and their minds to build words. They think they are playing "games"with thier friends but they are becoming good readers, spellers and little mathmatician. I also have a student that came to our class speaking zero English with no other Spanish speakers in our room. His vocabulary is growing by the day with the flashcards and supplies for him. I would never be able to get these supplies on our tight budget without you. Thank you so much for your generous donations to for my sweet little learners.”

  • Science Books for Learning Across Curriculums

    Funded Oct 23, 2020

What a crazy year! Kids can't work and play together in groups. They have to spend a lot more time on thier IPads staring at screens and at thier desks working alone. But one thing that is the same is this year is our love of books. They love for me to read to them and without the ability to do all the fun science investigations the next best thing is to read fun and engaging books about science. We get excited about any books we recieve but with these they don't even know they are learning! So fun. Thank you”

  • Getting Techy in 2020!

    Funded Oct 20, 2020

This year we are face-to-face most of the time but many students, and myself, have had to switch to virtual due when quarantining due to Covid. So in class and at home students have to complete papers on the Ipad. AT such a young age the fine motor skills have not developed enough to do the fine printing with thier finger. With your generous donation each kid had a good stylus to write on PDFs so that they can be read. All of my parents couldn't have afforded to buy a stylus. Thank you for making it happen for us. It has been a trying year but you have made it easier.”

  • Look on the Bright Side!

    Funded Oct 16, 2020

Elementary school is a bright happy magical place where children come to learn and have fun. It's all about hand on activities and game where students don't even know they are learning but they are. Our school district is a small rural district with a very tight budget and our copies are very limited making it impossible to print all the fun activities, decorations and art projects needed until now. Thanks to you we have been printing away without worry from our classroom printer whenever we need. Thank you so very much for making it happen.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Jackson

This year I have 102 students. They are like sponges that cannot wait to learn something new. At this age school is exciting and everyday a new adventure. Our school is a Title 1 school where funds can be tight for many families and budgets are tight for teachers as well.
