Reading Is a Necessity!
Funded Jan 1, 2021Your support to our students made a huge difference! Since the pandemic started our students could not share any items, books, and other supply in school. With the books you sent to our kids, they have now the opportunity to practice reading at home. My students had been so excited to bring a book at home. They started to read the books and practice their reading abilities. They become more enthusiast to be efficient readers. They have available reading materials now to be a good reader. I can see that with your help my students who are reading below level will be able to improve their performance!

Teachers Are Still on Fire!
Funded Dec 16, 2020I would like to say Thank you very much for the support! We had been quarantine (the whole class) from January 14 to January 29 due to COVID-19. One person in our class was tested positive and thankfully we were not all infected! We have our online classes during those days. Each of our students need to have their chromebook to be able to join in the learning process. I used the ipod in order to facilitate learning smoothly. I was using my personal laptop to monitor the students and used the ipod to present the lesson to the students. Your support made it easier for me to teach the students!”

Focus More!
Funded Mar 27, 2018Thank you very much for your support to our students! The earphones made a lot of difference in the learning environment of our students. They can work now independently depending on their capability. They do their task so quietly. Indeed, they can focus more on their assignments. Our student are now working harder to move their scores higher. They became more interested in learning new ideas and concept. Listening attentively to the sounds made them more enthusiastic and positive.

We Will Make It Happen!
Funded Oct 14, 2016Dear Donors,
It was almost three months ago when we suffered the Great Flood in Baton Rouge. We see now smiles from our students. They are moving forward now. The support you gave to us is creating a huge impact for our children's future. They are busy working on their computers and we can print their projects now. Students are making difference now in their learning. They are inspired and aggressive to learn and to create more opportunities for their success.
We would like to say thank you very much for bridging the gap to our students' success. We know this is not enough, but we promise you that we will strive more to make each student shining in all their ways.
Again, thank you.”

After the Great Flood, we will RISE!
Funded Sep 30, 2016The support that you gave to our students really made a difference. During recess time students have materials to play with. You can see joy in their faces as they play. Playing with enough materials for students make them develop confidence and sportsmanship. During playing time, students released energy that helps them more engage in the learning process. Our students now are excited for PE and recess time because they can play basketball, jump rope and hula hoop.
Students love also playing on the new rug we have in our classroom. They do their puzzle and small group activities on it.
Truly, we would like to say THANK YOU for all you do for our students.”

Funded Sep 26, 2016After the flood, I have about 40 students in my class. It was really a challenge to manage a big class size. It was and is not easy each day to make sure that my students are learning. I started doing small group activities so that struggling students will have enough time to understand the lesson.
My students enjoyed playing and learning during center activities. They had fun collaborating with other students. They solved math problems together.
With your support to my students, they find their learning easy and enjoyable. Activities during small group enhanced students competence in mastering math skills.
Again, we appreciate your help to our students!”

Measuring Students' Growth After the Disaster!
Funded Oct 3, 2016My students were very engaged learning about measurement! They started learning how to convert feet to meter. At the beginning, I thought that it was not necessary for the students to really use the actual tools in order to understand measurement. Students got confused how 100 cm is equal to a meter. When I hand-in to them the meter stick, I saw a glow in their eyes. They realized that each meter is consist of 100 cm.
I let my students worked with a partner to do a measurement activity. They measured the hallway using a meter stick. My students were all engaged in finding the distance of our classroom to the next building. It was really a great experience to the students.”

Funded Sep 6, 2016I could not describe enough the reactions of my students when I handed to them the chrome books. Their smiles on their faces are priceless and I know that these materials made them inspired in learning. My students started using these chrome books to improve their math skills. They are being monitored of what activities they finished and what standards they did not master. Parents have access at home to show how their children are improving in school.
Students were given assignment to work on every week. They are very excited to work on their assignment and patiently wait for their turn to use the chrome books.
Thanks a million for bridging the gap towards the success of our students!”
